DJ Jigüe (Cuba)

"Claudia" is an infectious slab of conga and moog-driven syncopated caribe future-funk. An exclusive unreleased track created specifically for ¡VAMOS! SONIDOS 3 and his upcoming visit at ¡VAMOS! Festival Newcastle in summer 2019.

DJ Jigüe is the founder of the Guampara label, and has made his mark on the music world by making experimental electronica music that weaves afro cuban traditional rhythms with pounding, mysterious electronic beats. A style he himself defines as Afrofuturismo tropical or electrotumbao. Based in Havana and originally from Santiago de Cuba, Isnay Rodriguez is an Afro-Cuban innovative producer bringing the island's traditions into the 21st contemporary dancefloor while collaborating with Gilles Peterson's Brownswood imprint in the Havana Cultura: Súbelo Cuba LP or creating instant connections with Africa's most current scenes as portrayed in this year's documentary film Bakosó - Afrobeats of Cuba.
